Best Lesbian Erotica 2012 is Now Available — Featuring My Story “Come to Me”

I finally got my copy of Best Lesbian Erotica 2012 which features “Come to Me” — a story by yours truly. If you haven’t read it yet, order it today.

I had been looking forward with much anticipation to this book and I’m very happy to say that it didn’t disappoint.

Some erotica anthologies are hit or miss and some will include three or four scintillating stories amid several mediocre ones. The collection that is Best Lesbian Erotica 2012 throws a dildo-shaped wrench into that pattern. Almost every single story in BLE 2012 will leave you breathless. Erotic tales of lesbians from all walks of life make the pages of this anthology come to life.

You can count on top-notch work from some of the best writers in the business: D.L. King, Kiki DeLovely, and Anna Watson, for example, all contribute hot, steamy stories that will blow your literary mind and make your figurative panties (or boxers) drop around your ankles.

There are also some new writers — all establishing their literary presence loud and clear — who make an appearance.

If you are a fan of the genre, this is one collection that you cannot be without. The title speaks the truth — this is some of the BEST lesbian erotica you will find anywhere.

My Experience as a Guest on the Radio (They wanted to kill me, but couldn’t)

After one of my most controversial Fuming Foodies (the food column I write for the Miami New Times) I was invited on the Bariatric TV Radio Show so that I could be ‘educated’ on weight loss surgery. What ensued was fun and educational, although they did not change my mind about WLS being an easy way out.

Click on the link below to listen to the show. I come in after about thirty or so minutes, but listening to them bash me before that is kinda fun:

UPDATE

Hey everyone,

With the magazine, the book, my regular writing work, my column, and life in general, I’ve been pretty absent from here.

I hope to go back to updating regularly once the holidays are over, but in the meantime I’d like you to know that I am around — you can find me on Twitter, Facebook, Amazon, and Goodreads.

So, feel free to pay me a visit. I’m always down to discuss food, sex, writing, and our place in the grand cosmic scheme.

Toodles!

What a Week — I Love It and You and You and You.

So, after my less-than-ideal weekend, and a few days away from the gym to heal my lower spine, everything is back on schedule.

I am currently seeking stories for my lesbian erotica anthology, Locker Room, to be published next year by Cleis Press. Here’s a brief synopsis:

My Apologies

Sorry I wasn’t around much last week, but I had a plethora of projects I was working on. I promise to be back on point this week.

Self-Indulgent Moaning and Groaning (but with reason)

So, the 24 Hour Film Race ended up as something other than expected. I let myself be bullied and the picture ended up being a total disaster under the hands of two douche bags. The shots are ridiculous. Boom mikes in frame, actors’ heads out of frame, and non-actors in shots — that’s most of it, but there is more. A friend (former as of last Sunday) thought he could do a better job than me and bullied me until I gave up. No matter how many times I tried to fight back, he just kept going against what I would say, and for several reasons, I didn’t just kick his douche-y ass out of my house. As a mutual friend (who is the douche’s best friend) put it, “He did a hostile takeover.”

Steamy Steampunk: D.L. King’s Carnal Machines Defines Steampunk Erotica

Woah! I just read my friend D.L. King’s steampunk erotica anthology, Carnal Machines, and it is scorchingly hot. The combination of steampunk and sex was inevitable, but this may just be the defining collection.

I will be posting a review soon!

(Extremely) Delayed Reaction

The other night I was thinking about Will.

Will was my best friend. We used to spend all our time together. We drove around the streets of Miami all day, making stops at points of interest, whether they were art galleries or dope holes. And all day, we talked and talked and talked. About the silliest shit or the most profound, but always talking.

The Non Sequitur Post

This week was insane. I had my regular amount of work for the New Times, but I had a few additional clients which resulted in spending 24 hours working in which I only stopped to go to the bathroom and eat dinner (breakfast and lunch were eaten at my desk as I kept typing).

Aside from the New Times gig, I wrote a blog post for Club Med about a triathlon event held at the end of March at the Club Med Sandpiper Bay in Port St. Lucie and I also wrote 25 pages of web copy for another client. The 25 pages are what killed me — they involved a lot of research and each web page was about two typed pages. So it equaled 50 pages with research and footnotes. But, unlike my “enjoyable” work, it paid a ton of money.
