After years of my work being scattered among different publications and websites, I finally realized that gathering my best stuff together would make me very happy. Welcome to The Sideshow. On this site I will display my non-fiction work as it appears in several publications, including the Miami New Times, the Florida Agenda, the Broward/Palm Beach New Times, GreatFoodList.com, and others. The Sideshow will also discuss my creative work, such as my fictional short story “Undercover,” featured in the Cleis Press anthology Lesbian Cops, edited by Lambda Literary Award winner Sacchi Green, and my fictional short story “Come to Me,” featured in Best Lesbian Erotica 2012, edited by Kathleen Warnock. You will also be privy to my alternately scathing, silly, insightful, academic, philosophical, and otherwise entertaining commentary on various “realily” phenomena. The Sideshow is a view of the world through my eyes, a vision which is entirely mine and unapologetically truthful. I might write about pornographic circus midgets one day and the oppressive patriarchal society we live in the next. Sit back, light a cigarette (literal or figurative), and enjoy.
